Dr. Misty J. Purfeerst

Optometrist

Dr. Misty Purfeerst, a Faribault native, graduated Magna Cum Laude from North Dakota State and Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.  She joined Richie Eye Clinic &n LASIK Center in 2007.
 

Dr. Purfeerst’s professional memberships and affiliations include:

• American Optometric Association
• Minnesota Optometric Association
• Beta Sigma Kappa international optometric honor fraternity

Her areas of interest include glaucoma, pediatrics, dry eye, macular degeneration, urgent care (red eyes, injuries, etc), contact lenses an primary care optometry. She has served as Rice County 4-H Adult Leader and Assistant General Livestock Judging Coach for Rice County 4-H, and has been involved with Health Finders Board of Directors, Faribault’s Future, and the 507 Connect.

Dr. Purfeerst’s hobbies include travel, sports, and spending time with family and friends. She lives in Faribault with her family.
